About the Lasting Impressions Press
Located in Tasmania. We are active as Letterpress printers using platen presses, linocuts and handset type. Presses are a Heidelberg, a Chandler and Price and an Adana 8x5. We also operate a Photographic studio/darkroom and Joanne works with textiles.
Currently we are producing a range of cards which are related to aspects of country life ie animal life, and human activity on the land.

We began printing under this name in 1984 as a commercial operation in the small country town of Deloraine and were originally funded with an Arts Tasmania grant and a loan to build our own studio in 1986.
We evolved into a private press initiating our own projects.
