A Press for the Insignificant, the Internecine, the Innocent and the Insane.
The idea driving the press was to self publish my own artists books and editions. Early books include "Yerosha", "Diary of a Hostage", "The Hermetic Garden" & "The Fools Compendium".
Since then the Press has grown to collaborate with artists who have a sympathetic aesthetic and politic.
The Actus Reus Press was founded in 1989 and is located in Sydney Australia. Currently the Actus Reus has a number of printing machines (Hildav etching press, Ronai proofer, Asbern letterpress, Wimbles Guilliotine, hot foil stamper) for the production of limited edition works on paper.
Specialising in artists books and limited edition prints, the work of the press is held in State and National Galleries and libraries in Australia.
